PRACTICAL EXERCISE 1:  Installing Ubuntu 12.04 LTS on VirtualBox

GENERAL CONDITIONS

1- Deadline 1: On 27-09-13 teachers will check that your operating system is working properly

3- Send your report as a PDF file attached to an e-mail with the following specifications:

4- Make this report individually.

6- Character format: a) Font: Arial, b) Size: 10, c) Questions typeface: Bold, d) Answers typeface: Regular

PRACTICAL EXERCISE
1.- Install Virtual Box on your system. Explain the process for installing VirtualBox on your system.
2.- Create a new Ubuntu Linux virtual machine, with the following specifications: a) Operating System: Linux. b) Version: Ubuntu. c) Name: Ubuntu_m01tu1. d) Memory: 4GB (or 2GB if only 4GB of RAM are installed in your computer). e) Virtual Hard Disk:  Boot Hard Disk and New Hard Disk. f) Hard Disk Storage: Dynamically expanding storage. g) Size: 20GB.
3.- Boot Ubuntu_m01tu1 with the ubuntu-12.04.1-desktop-i386.iso image file. Install Ubuntu Linux 12.04 LTS on your new virtual machine. Explain the process for installing Ubuntu 12.04 LTS on your system. Take a screenshot (or take note) at each step of the installation process.
4.- Save your document. Export your document as a PDF file. According to GENERAL CONDITIONS, your report have to be saved as asixdawA_surname_name_m01tu01pr1.pdf.
